Desiree is a recent graduate of the University of California, Irvine based in Los Angeles. She now has a B.A. in Drama and Honors in Directing, and has studied Stage Management, Scenic Design, and Properties. While in school, she was a member of V-Day UCI and a was core ensemble member of Brown Bag Theatre Company.

A proud feminist, Latina, and ally, Desiree is committed to using theatre as a way of uplifting artists and stories of all kinds. She believes theatre is one of the most powerful forms of storytelling and can change lives for those working on, performing in, and viewing it. Theatre captures people's hearts in a unique way, allowing audiences to empathize and understand characters and stories when they normally wouldn't.

Desiree's play, Sunshine, received a staged reading at the UCI Student New Play Festival in February 2019. Desiree wants to continue to create new work through collaboration, devising, and playwriting. She also hopes to usher in a new generation of theatre artists by continuing work in educational theatre as a youth theatre director and instructor.
